Toora Story

To the Peterson Family,

Well it is about the time I wrote you and give you a progress report on how I am making out.  It is about seven months since I left home as well as my four legged friends.  I think I just cried (silently) for the first week and I found it tough not knowing what to expect from my new owners as well as what they were expecting of me.

At the beginning of May they took me to my new Doctor, she was very nice and so were the staff that work there.  I had a heart worm test as well as a blood test and some other test.  I have a license now to go with my rabies tag.  I went for a bath etc. and I liked that until they tried to put me back in a cage, but Shirle told them not to do that an after Shirle left they tried again and the gave up.   Shirle really tore a strip off them.  Then my next bath, trim and toenails was done by a nice lady who brings her shop to your house and plugs in to the power outlet and then in I go to the big van, with a little help.  I sure looked pretty as well as smelled nice.  Al brushes me every 2 or 3  days so I look pretty nice.  My last bath 2 weeks ago was pretty nice as my winter coat is starting to grow in and I just look like a fur ball.

I forgot to tell you I was at my doctors office to have a micro chip implanted so if I got lost or stolen Shirle would get me back, they also did something I didn't care for they called it anal sac expression and I sure let them know what I thought.  they have a cottage at Lakeshore Heights about 3 miles this side of Grand Beach.  The take me there for 3 or 4 days at a time.  Their son Scott & his wife take me for real lo0ng walks when they come and I spent a week with them in July when Shirle and Al were away south visiting friends in Wisconsin.

I finally learned to play, running around and chasing a ball etc.  Some people thought I was a slow learner but my owners explained that I was caged for about one and a half years and missed out on my puppy years.  I go for 2 long walks everyday and have learned to go pp in a run at the back of the house I still haven't got the idea for poo in the run.  Maybe in the winter when it gets cold in the winter time I'll learn in a hurry or freeze my buns off.  On my way home I get to run and play at a baseball park.  I have also been spooked on my walk by freight trains and left Al and ran home all by my self, boy did Al and Shirle give me heck

Well this is all for now, hope all is well at home and give my love to my 4 legged friends.

I have only been learning to type this past while and find it difficult hitting the keys as the fur get caught up in the keys.
