Hi Sue,

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have written!  I am sending this to you from my work email my home one has not changed.  My Promise is WONDERFUL,  in fact, don't tell the others, but she is the best sheepdog in the world!!

She passed her Therapy dog certification testing, we have not done any work lately only because we bought a 35 acre farm, boarding, training and sales of horses and Promise is the official barn greater.  No one comes or goes without a hello and a goodbye slurp.  She has 2 kittens that are her babies, and 3 baby pigmy goats that she believes are hers but she has not convinced them of that yet.  She is truly enjoying her life and I am truly enjoying every minute I get to spend with her!  She loves being a farm dog and helps me with every chore.  When my Mom is out of the house she will sit with her in to take care of her she always seems to know who needs her the most.

So,  to my question,  have you already sold the little female on your web site?  I am interested in getting Skip a pup of his own, Promise is very good to him but prefers me and goes everywhere I go and he needs a best buddy of his own.  Since there is no better dog in the world then one of yours, here I am.  He would like a female and if she is gone then I will wait for the next breeding cycle to get him one.  Thanks bunches and hope things are all great with you and your family!!

Love,

Laura, Skip and Promise

PS I am going to take some new pictures and send them in, you won't believe how cute Promise is.

Hi Sue,

You can post anything you want to your web site from me! I feel that you have really given me a wonderful gift and there will never be a way to repay you for your thoughtful breeding and the wonderful dogs you produce. You probably get tired of hearing it but you are a great OES breeder and if not for you, I wouldn't have Promise.

I will take some pictures this weekend to send to you. I have some from when she was small to now. Promise has even won my husband over (he likes little dogs) and she has managed to include him to the point that they have there own very special greeting times in the morning and he takes her along in the car when he goes by himself. I could write a book on all the funny things she does and everyone that meets her is so impressed by how calm she is. That is not always true at home but when we go out she is usually very calm and willing to wait through almost anything.

As I said I do need to use the gentle leader when I take her out and I can control her with just a couple of fingers. I have attached some information I pulled off the web. If you search the web under gentle leader there are several sites that show pictures on how they fit. From the first moment I put it on her she walked by my side. She didn't like it and tried to get it off but after the first few times of coaxing her along with a treat she began to realize that this is the way it was going to be. After a while she began to expect it when we go for walks or during our training sessions. We call it our training halter and she knows when it goes on we are going someplace and she needs to use her best manners.

Thanks for everything Sue, your advise and great dogs!!
Laura

Hi Sue,

Just wanted to take a moment to reiterate what all of the other families have already stated.

We love our new little family member!!

She is smart, determined, confident, loving and funny all at the same time. She's adjusting well to the warmer temperatures here.  Although we've had snow,  it still must seem like the tropics to her at 32-40 F.   Our house isn't much warmer trying to accommodate her acclimation.

She passed her first Vet appointment with flying colors and was declared the cutest pup in town.  Which is music to a proud new Momma's ears! Our other two little dogs are working out a relationship with there new sibling.  Our older grandma dog is willing to teach her the necessary manners when in the house and mediates any squabbles that break out due to unnecessary roughness. I agree that sharp little puppy teeth have managed to draw a few play wounds and nipping is now one of our top priorities to overcome.

Our house training is going well, she seems to be getting the idea as long as I go out with her.  She immediately comes over to be praised as soon as she has done her business.  She would love to get up every morning at 2:00 AM but I think her little internal clock is off just a tad, due to the time difference.  This too shall pass with time, sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Overall, she's just about as perfect as a pup can get.  I have high hopes for her in the future and look forward to the unique view on life she is bound to teach me.  Lots of pictures to follow, and of course progress reports.

Take Care,
Laura, Skip, Erica, Tazz and Promise
