Subject: Sue, I wanted to share a funny story with you

Sue, I forgot to tell you that my dad & step mom recently came to visit us in El Paso.  They live in East Brunswick, N.J.  They have a very spoiled, very loved Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier named Kerry.  Anyway, they take Kerry almost daily to this wonderful dog park were dogs can run & play with other dogs.  One day when they were there they met a beautiful sheepdog who turned out to be one of your dogs.  The owners were very nice & they told my dad the "Paul McCartney" story.  I was so amazed at what a small world it is.  My dad & I live almost 2000 miles away from each other & he bumps into one of your dogs!  I have pictures I'll have to send you.

On a side not my dad has now retired & has become an avid photographer.  Our dog Cookie is one of his favorite subjects & he has taken some amazing pictures of her.  I'll send you one of my favorites via snail mail so you can really appreciate it.

warm blessings to you & family from El Paso,

Amy Pork & Family

P.S. feel free to share this story with others.  I am curious to see who it was that my dad bumped in to.

Merry Christmas Sue!

Greetings to you & family from El Paso, Texas!  The reason for this e-mail is that we saw that you had updated your website, and that Bragi was going to be breed soon.  I was wondering out of the 25 people on the waiting list how many people are waiting for one of her puppies?  If we were to send you a deposit today would it be possible to get one of her puppies this time around?  Please let me know.

Cookie is doing great.  She's a clown.  She loves to come in the kitchen with me as I cook.  I talk to her and sometimes she looks at me as if she understands every word I am saying.  She's really maturing into a great dog.  She always was though from the beginning.  I have never met a dog that is smarter than she is.  I just have to show her something once and she's got it down.

One story I will share with you real quick is a testament I think of how great your dogs are with children.  Last week was a tough week.  I just was feeling really tired and overwhelmed.  Anyway, it was dinner time & my five year old son was acting horrible and had been acting horrible all day.  Whinning & talking back.  I was finally at the end of my rope, and I went for him.  I was going to spank him good...well my sweet Cookie, instinctivly jumped in front of him blocking my way & stiffined her body as if to say back off & go take a break.  She was not going to let me at him.  That's just the way she is...she's a nuturing soul who takes care of us all & has a sixth sense as to know how to take care of us  whether that means a comedy routine, or a snuggle, or a protective glare...she's there for us.  I'm sure you get e-mails all the time from people gushing over your dogs.. but here's one more.  Thanks so much for your dedication in producing such wonderful family pets.

Sincerly...Amy Pirk

P.S.  Please let me know as soon as possible about Bragi.

Hi Sue,

First I just want to say thank you for this whole experience.  We could not have found a better breeder.  You were patient & kind the whole way through.  Cookie is the most incredible puppy I have ever seen.  She's gorgeous!  Her eyes, her coat the whole thing.  It doesn't just end there though  her personality is just as beautiful.  She is sooo gentle, and sweet.  We got just what we wanted in her personality.  Amazing.

We left this morning to pick her up in Albuquerque, and the drive took about three hours.  We were a few minutes late picking her up.  And she was ready.  We could her hear crying from outside the Cargo area.  I teared up before we ever saw her.  The pick up process was a cinch.  We signed for her, and that was it.  The guy didn't even check our I.D. (a little scary).

She smelled so good, like a newborn baby.  I was impressed, because  she managed to keep her crate clean all the way from Minneapolis.  She slept half way home on my lap and then crawled in the back seat and threw up.  Then she curled up on the quilt I brought her and sleep most of the remainder of the trip.  About twenty minutes before we got home she started to cry a little.  We could tell she had to go potty.  She held it though.

When we got home I took her straight to the back yard so she could check things out.  She went pee pee, and we played a little and then we went inside to have dinner.  She wouldn't eat unless I sat down next to her.  I don't think she wanted to miss anything.  After dinner we went back outside and she went poo poo.  Man, you would have thought she created a beautiful sculpture with the praise she got.

I don't think she knows what to do with all our grass with the snow she's used to.  She thinks it's interesting though.  She's tried to dig a whole to China a couple of times already.  Also, I can tell she misses her family.  It's like she looks for them or something.  It makes me sad to know she's sad.  I know it won't be long until she gets used to us, and that this must be really scary for her.  So for the mean time it will be lots of hugs and kisses.

We are all inside now & she's snuggling by my feet as I type this & we watch T.V.

Again thanks for everything.  You we're wonderful the whole way through and it shows through your pups.  Every anxious moment we spent waiting for her was well worth it over & over.  We would like to get a sister for her in a year or two.  We will send pictures of her new home in a day or two.

With the greatest respect & appreciation,

Amy Pirk
