Barkley @ 6 weeks

Hi Sue - I finally got all my pix together and thought you might enjoy these.  Most are from when he was a pup but one is current.  He is delightful and a lot of fun.  We are enjoying him immensely.  A couple of the photos show him and Cricket, his buddy and "litter mate" as she is only 6 months older then he.  They fit in that bed but now that is hers and he has his own.  His head will barely fit in there!  I had some fun going through all the photos of all the puppies that were born when he was.  Even though I don't know any of the other owners, I feel a comaderie because of our common love for OES!

So, Barkley (and Cricket) wish you and yours a Happy Holiday Season and a Blessed Christmas!

Congratulations, Gramma!  Isn't it great?  Our first grandchild was a girl too.  She is now 18 and just graduated from high school in June.  How the time flies.  Enjoy every minute with her you can!

Congratulations on the puppies too.  It brings back the anticipation feelings we had waiting to get Barkley.  He is a joy!  He is as big as our older OES and is a kick.  He was the star of obedience class.  We did sit-stay and he just laid down and shone.  Hal says it is because he is too lazy.  I told him whatever works! (He's just jealous because he is taking the Cairn through obedience and she has a mind of her own!)  Your temperament test was right on the mark.  He is very easy to train.  I don't even have to tell him to sit any more.  He just does it on his own (and not because he is lazy either!).  He still lies at my feet while I work, even though it is getting harder to fit under the desk and he gets his hair pulled by my chair a lot.  He seems to have "weathered" the heat we have been having here - 100° (very unusual for Eugene! - Hasn't been this hot since 1988).

Again, congratulations on your new granddaughter.  Glad to hear your husband's surgery went well.  Hope all the puppies are well and have good homes!  What fun they have in store for them!

Sorry we couldn't make it for a "reunion" this year.  Hal is retiring early next year so maybe next year?!  I'm going to continue working for a couple more years.
