Hello Sue… and you may forward to everyone.
Hope you are doing well! Chula is an absolute delight, as are all the other pups to their lucky new owners, I’m sure. She must have done all her crying in the crate because she has seemed perfectly comfortable since I took her out of her crate at the airport! I made a wide bed for her on the seat next to me in the truck. Put a fleece, rawhide chew and some toys on it… she played and napped happily thru the next couple of hours in traffic. From the first night she has done so well! She seems to have come somewhat housetrained, and if she is not too excited from playing … has barked to let us know she’s got to go. We’ve established the “spots” to do what in the yard, and she has seemed pretty instinctual about it. I think her beginnings at your farm have made her a “balanced” pup. We also have kept her close to us at all times… so she is feeling very special and secure.
We are enjoying her so much! And she is so beautiful! Everything is such a big adventure for her. She has the man of the house wrapped around her tail and they play like litter mates.
Thank you for such a gorgeous well adjusted girl! We’ll keep you updated and send pics. I would love to hear from anyone that would like to say hi or trade pup notes. I did a lot of reading on dogs and puppies before she arrived, and that has paid off. Remember everyone… keep lots of toys and chews in all locations! That has allowed Chula to entertain herself easily when she needs to, and makes life easier for the pack leader.
Sue, thanks again… she is indeed a darling (Chula in Mexican Spanish means cute or darling).
Best, Pati
