Sue:

Just thought we would send an update on Chelsea. She is doing real well and has grown into a fine dog. We just finished agility training with her. I don't know who had more fun, Chelsea or us. She had a ball jumping hoops and running through tunnels but wasn't real keen on the long dog walk. I guess maybe she has a little fear of heights like her Dad :). She came in 4th place overall but we really did it just for fun. She would have done better but she got distracted by some leaves on graduation night. Oh well, at least we had some fun.

We were glad to see Fulla had another litter. Looks like some new people will get to share our enjoyment.

Hope all is well with you. We will continue to periodically keep in touch.

Sue:

Hope you and your loved ones have a very happy holiday season along with a healthy and prosperous new year.

Sincerely,

Dear Ann Marie and Sue:

Just thought you might like to see how things are progressing in sunny Florida. Chelsea is 7 months old now and an absolute joy. She is growing into such a beautiful sheepie ( but then again, we are biased). She was spayed two weeks ago and weighed in at approx. 65 lbs. She makes us laugh on a daily basis. We had forgotten that puppies are INTO EVERYTHING!!! Like you said, she doesn't destroy but rather relocates whatever she can sink her mouth into. She has gotten to be best buddies with our 3 yr. old Bailey. They are literally glued at the hips. Needless to say that we are over-joyed with her and love her to bits. Hope all is well at your homes. It was great following all the recent litters and seeing where all of the lucky puppies have found homes. We will continue to keep in touch.

Sincerely,

Dear Sue and Anne Marie:

Just to let you know that things have gone well here in Florida. Chelsea is adapting well. She is a real pistol and follows us everywhere and is into to everything!!! We had forgotten how much a new puppy can make you laugh. She has only had one accident in the house since we got home and boy, does she hate to be alone!!! We are thoroughly enjoying her.

Question, our 3 yr. old male runs and plays with her for hours outside but as soon as we come in, he gets very territorial and growls at her. Has even snapped at her once. He is definitely playing alpha dog inside the house. Is this just setting the ground rules? Any suggestions on dealing with this behavior? We tell him "no growling, bad boy", etc.. but the growling continues. He is a smart dog, will bow his head in shame and knows he is doing wrong. We don't want the puppy to get hurt or be afraid to play or go near him. Like I said, they are BEST BUDDIES outside!! Thought maybe someone experienced could offer some suggestions...Thanks so much
