Puppy: Monty
Province: Ontario

Well Monty has been a part of lives for two months now and we have throughly enjoyed him.  For the most part he is housetrained and lets us know when he needs to go out either by whining, sitting in front of the door or if all else fails pawing my knee.  Of course he comes with us whenever possible and has developed that "they're going out now" sense and then it's a race for the front door.  There are times when I should leave him home but he stands in front of the door with his head leaning on the door and looks so forlorn, that I relent and bring him.  He is so good in the van! Ken and I took him camping for a couple of weeks the beginning of Sept.  and he just loved it.  We wanted to get him use to the water before it was to late and he was too old.  After a few tentative steps he seemed to really like it, running in to fetch sticks - even tried to catch some minnows!!  He has grown so much and has fans wherever he goes.  It's particularly funny watching his "nob" of a tail wagging when he sees someone new. I have attached a couple of pictures of Monty while camping.  As you can see he's quite the handsome lad. Such a sweet face!

Hello Sue,

Well you certainly have and are having a very busy few months with all the new puppies.  I have going into your websites and looking at all the new additions - just beautiful.

Monty is doing very well and we haven't had any health problems with him. He's quite the character though!  Every morning we drive down to the lake for a nice run in the sand, that's my exercise too, and a couple of times he has decided to go for a swim.

Today he tried to get a couple of swans but thankfully they were too far out.  He is so much fun and a day doesn't go by that he doesn't have us laughing.  We love him death!

I've sent you a couple of pictures from Christmas and January.  The Jan. pic is my favorite (right now).  You will notice that we have a huge crate, however, Monty never did take to it and he only uses it to store his toys in or when he has a treat that he doesn't want us to know about or share.

But it does make a lovely side table. HAHA.

Well thank you once again for Monty; he has added a new dimension to our lives.

Janet Noel
