So far so good!

Dear Sue,

We cannot thank you enough for the happiness you have brought to our family. MiniMi is a little darling and we love him so much. He is very clever and so adorable and so loving. He seems to have made a special bond with me since I am the one he seems to want to be with most. Maybe that is because I spent his first two nights here camped out with him in the kitchen and I am also taking the lead in his training. Whatever it is, when I am around he is not far away from me. We have some pictures of him, from what I am reading, everyone is as thrilled with their pups as we are with MiniMi so each one of us got the pick of the litter. Thank you again for all that you have done, we will keep in touch and send pictures regularly. Regards,
Keith & Hope

Dear Sue:

Yesterday was the 3rd birthday of Freya’s litter of 31 January 2004.  MiniMi celebrated at home with his family.  However, it snowed for his birthday and he loves the snow.  He always gets on his back and rolls around in it, kicking his legs in the air.  Mini is a very valued member of the family and is loved by all.  In turn, he loves all.  People, who do not know him, ask if he is friendly and I tell them, “oh yes he’s friendly, sometimes too friendly.”  He is known by all the dog owners in the neighborhood and is the only one that all other owners will let play with their dogs, especially the smaller dogs.

When you described him at about 6 weeks old, you described him as “another playful one.”  Well he is that.  When he is not conserving energy, which is most of the time, he loves to play.  We also take him for at least three walks per day.  When we moved to our new house, 2˝ years ago, we had no grassed yard or fences so we started walking him several times per day and he got used to it.  Now, although we have a large grassed yard, he will not defecate in it, but, instead, has to go out for a walk before he will do his thing.  It’s not so bad though, I do not have to pick up in the yard nor watch where I am stepping.  J

At night, he always starts out sleeping on our bed.  Sometime during the next hour he gets down and sometimes finds a place in our room to sleep but other times leaves the room and goes somewhere else in the house to sleep but is always back in our room by the time the clock goes off in the morning.  Quite often, he will check on us during the night, jumping up on the bed to lick faces at 3:00 AM or so and then leaves again.

He is a wonderful companion and friend.  Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to have MiniMi as part of our family.  Do you ever hear from any of his litter mates.  We often  wonder how Lucas is doing these days after his leg problems.  We also often think of you and Hans and wonder how you are both doing these days?

Best regards,

MiniMi and Friends ( Keith, Hope, & family)
