Sue,

Hello, how are you?  l just wanted to email you some pictures of Digby.  He recently passed his St. Johns Ambulance training to be a therapy dog.  We go to a group home with 6 ladies who operate at varying levels of mental and physical capacities.  They are wonderful and Digby loves it.  l tell him he is going to work and he just shines.  Of course you know how good Old English are for this type of thing.  He is so in tune with these ladies, he can comfort them and make them feel special and happy.

Thank you for breeding such exceptional dogs, thank you for caring so much, and for making a stand with the whole docking issue.

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and that soon we will be in a position to get another of your wonderful dogs.

Merry Christmas,

Tina and Stewart Hill and of course--Our Digby!

We are so glad we got Digby.  He is wonderful....he really helps us stay positive and focused on getting Stewart well.  l am enclosing some pics from Digby's birthday party.  We do not have any children but Digby has a whole neighbourhood full of kids who come play with him on a regular basis.  The kids really wanted a 1st birthday party for Digby so we had one at lunchtime on Christmas Eve.  He loved it.  Please note that the picture of Digger with the blonde little girl in yellow---this child, Claire, is deathly afraid of dogs....petrified, she shakes when one comes anywhere near her...she screams and runs and is in a total panic....so guess which dog won over her heart?  He is wonderful with people and l am looking forward to the time (soon l hope) when Stewart is well enough that l can take Digby to the St. John's Ambulance programme that visits sick children and elderly people in homes.  Will keep you updated.  Thanks for letting us keep the door open to another one of your gorgeous puppies.

Take care.

Tina

Morning Sue,

Thanks so much for the email updating us about puppies "on hold" as it were.  l just wanted to clarify with you that my husband Stewart and l were waiting for a brindle puppy, preferably male but of course you have no control over such things.  We would like his/her tail left on, and we can just do the transaction immediately through our Visa when the puppy is born.  When we spoke you thought that a brindle may be born sometime late this year, meaning that we would get our puppy around the time we got Digby (February).  That would be perfect for us.  Could you please let us know if that is correct?

l hope you are feeling better, and taking care of your health.

Of course, proud mother that l am, l had to send along some pics of our Digby....he is a going concern, into everything---but we love him and he is the centre of attention wherever we take him.  He has the most innocent, love life attitude l have ever seen, nothing fazes him.

Take care of yourself, l look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Sue,

Just answering your query about how Dudley's diblings are eating.  Like you, we have Digby on free eating.  His food is always available to him and we have had no problems.  Since we got him we have gradually changed over to Wellness brand, made by Old Mother Hubbard--as recommended by our groomer/trainer and vet.  He is doing very well on it.  We also thought that Diggers was a bit thin, but he now weighs 17 lbs. and is a going concern, getting lots of exercise so at least we know where he is burning his calories.

Have a great night,

Tina

PS- couldn't resist sending along a few pics...proud parents that we are! Enjoy!!

Morning Sue,

Tina Hill here.

Just a quick line to see how you are and how everyone is doing with their almost 4 month old puppies.  We haven't had any emails lately about any "adoptive parents".  lf the other puppies are as active as Digby...l can see why, nobody has time!

Digby is doing great, just had his 3rd and final shot.  He is weighing in at 24 lbs. which our vet is happy about.  He is getting very tall and we cannot wait to take him for walks to burn off the excess energy. (Vet recommended waiting 2 weeks after his last shot...one more week to go!)

All is well, looking forward to showing him off.

Take care of yourself.  The new batch of puppies are adorable, we check the website regularly.

happy spring!
