Hi Sue!

I was going to email you on Brio's second birthday (Dec 24) but things got away from me.

I've attached a pic of Brio at the lake -- bearing down on me after a high speed run. He is a big fan of the lake.

Brio is a big healthy guy with a happy-go-lucky even temperament. At the off leash park when he's not visiting dogs, he's veering off to check out their owners -- and waiting for a bum rub.  We often run into Frisco at our dog park -- small world.

This spring Brio had a 10 day vacation with the grandparents and Toora. The dogs get along famously now -he has done wonders for Toora's outlook on the world.  He has taught her a thing or two about playing and in a show of gratitude she doesn't bite him anymore.

Hope this finds you well Sue, and thanks again for our big, beautiful boy!

Hi Sue!

Hard to imagine our "little" guy is now a year old!  He has grown into a strapping 75 pounds -- enough to place his chin on the kitchen table without lifting his head!

Our guy is a joy to live with -- he is gentle, even-tempered, and good-humored.  He loves life and always wants to be in the centre of things.  When we take him to the park he is the centre of attention -- and he is happy to meet each and every one of his admirers.

We keep him in a "puppy cut" for now and he seems quite comfortable -- and much cleaner around the house.  When we had him to the vet recently all the staff stopped what they were doing to come and admire him.  Even the vet -- who has a 10 year old OES -- remarked on his mild temperment and good looks.

This summer he was introduced to cottage life -- he's a big fan.  He also loves hanging around with his good friend Toora.  This winter he's been enjoying snow -- both for sticking his head in and eating.

Right now he's upstairs having a nap on the bed (we now need a king-size) and enjoying having the pack around during Christmas break.

Hope all is well with you and we're glad you are still keeping a hand in OES breeding.  Good health in 2006!

Brio met up with Toora, an OES that his owners parents adopted after we rescued her from a horrible home in the USA. Toora is absolutely petrified of men and has done wonderfully well at getting over her fears but she is still a little apprehensive about this newest male member of the family.

Hi Sue:

Brio arrived safe and sound -- if a little shakey -- this afternoon!  He had a quiet ride home -- fell asleep I think.  We introduced him to the yard (snow about 2 feet deep) and showed him the washroom facilities.  Two big pees so far.

He's a curious little guy -- checked out the house, chased a chew toy, tried to figure out the stairs, and yapped a few times.  He ate a good bowl of puppy chow, then out to the yard again for a little runaround.  He's now having a nap.

He's sure a beautiful little boy -- we're thrilled!

Thanks Sue!   We'll be in touch.

Hi Sue!

Kind of busy around here -- we're Toora-sitting for a month while my parents are on vacation.  Toora and Brio are getting on pretty well.  Brio follows her like a shadow.  She has a good romp with him every evening -- steals his chew toys,  runs around like a big goof.  Then she has had enough and shuts the whole thing down.  Brio can't quite comprehend that, but usually a growl from Toora and he gets the message.

Brio is growing like a weed!  He's a big, strong, healthy boy!  He's the hit of puppy school, although the other parents can't imagine he's the same age as their little puppies.  All in all, he's a beautiful boy who keeps us on our toes day and night.

Thanks again Sue!
