Freya came to Eirs
rescue when she had such a large litter and
together they are raising al their pups. IF this
doesn't reflect their great temperament I don't
know what will!

-
Pups
are all born in the house.
-
At two days old pups have
their tails docked and dew claws removed unless their
new owners have requested to leave the tail long.

|
-
The pups are fascinated with dirt,
they love to dig and constantly get their faces
dirty.
-
At
about one month old the pups can climb over a bale
of straw.
-
Puppies at six weeks old eat solid food
and no longer nurse.
-
The pups are very
playful and looking for mischief.
|
-
Pups
begin to show colour of their eyes at around six weeks, some have brown eyes, some blue, some one of each.
-
Although pups are all born black
and white they will change colour at around six
months of age and become grey and white, very occasionally a dog will stay black and white.
|
|

For some it is just too cold and they beat a hasty retreat.
|

Depending on the climate this is also when some pups first venture outside to play in the snow.
|

On second thought..... maybe it could be fun out
there. Let's check it out again!
|

In no time at all the pups find their way to the house and are waiting for the kids to come out and play.
