In Memory of Odin

Odin (God of all Gods) was our first Old English, named from Norse mythology because we felt she was the Dog of all Dogs  and DOG is GOD spelt backwards.

Odin almost spent 13 years with our family, the summer of 2002 saw her struggle to battle cancer, never complaining, always content to have her head in someone's lap until the end.  Our son Adam and his wife Karen, together with our very sensitive vet Dr Haider Elbermani, gave her such wonderful care and consistently put her needs and quality of life before their own emotions. Her first two years we lived in the city and here you see how she loved to go to the park with the kids, even climbing up the playground to go down the slide with the children.

Odin was our confirmed "Old Maid" she never had any pups. She was the largest of our dogs in height with the darkest and coarsest texture of fur. Her red harness was one we use for any of the dogs to pull a sled.

"It was Odins wonderful personality and character that led us on the road to breeding OES, may every family, and every child experience the warmth and love that comes from bringing an OES into their lives".

"Odin was 12 years old in January 2002, she loved to outrun the youngest of pups, she was healthy and full of fun, with personality overflowing".
